Newborn-6th Grade

The aim of the Childrens Ministry at LakeRidge Baptist is to serve, support, equip, and encourage parents as they raise their kids to know Jesus.

Sunday School curriculums are chosen carefully to teach Biblical truth and engage kids in learning the Word of God and provide resources for parents to continue teaching throughout the week.

WEEKLY MINISTRY ACTIVITIES:

Sunday Mornings

9:30 AM – Sunday School
Age-appropriate classes for children from infants through 6th grade.

10:30 AM – Worship Service

• Nursery available for infants through 3-year-olds at every service.

• Children’s Church (ages 4 through 6th grade) is offered on the 1st–3rd Sundays and 5th Sundays of each month.

• On the 4th Sunday, children remain in the worship service with their families, as we value worshiping together as a family.

• Children begin worship with their parents and are dismissed to Children’s Church just before the offering.

• A family room near the auditorium is available for parents with children.

• A private nursing mothers’ room with live-stream access is located in the Children’s Wing.

Sunday Evenings – 6:00 PM

• Nursery available

• Toddlers through age 4 enjoy age-specific curriculum

• Ages 5 through 6th grade participate in parent led studies from the Bible’s big Story of Hope.

Wednesdays – 6:30 PM

• Childcare provided for infants through age 4.

• TeamKID (kids in discipleship) for Pre-K through 6th grade, incorporates learning about BMA-supported missionaries and their mission fields.

Student Ministry | 7th–12th Grade

The Student Ministry at LakeRidge Baptist exists to help middle and high school students know Jesus, grow in their faith, and build meaningful relationships with one another.

Our desire is to introduce students to Jesus and deepen their walk with Him in a safe, welcoming environment where they can ask questions, grow spiritually, and have fun doing life together.

Sunday Mornings – 9:30 AM | Student Bible Study (Student Room)

Students gather each Sunday morning for small groups and “coffee shop table talk” as they walk through books of the Bible and explore relevant topics through discussion and video teaching.

This time is designed to:

• Build a strong foundation of faith

• Encourage thoughtful questions and discussion

• Help students grow into mature followers of Christ

• Equip them to carry their faith wherever God leads them

Wednesday Evenings – 6:00 PM | Student Night (Student Room)

Wednesday nights are a relaxed, welcoming time for students to unplug midweek and connect with friends.

Each evening includes:

• Food and games

• Worship and a sermon

• Fellowship and encouragement

Wednesdays are a great opportunity for students to invite friends and experience a fun, Christ-centered environment where they are welcomed and accepted.

Beyond the Weekly Gatherings

In addition to Sunday and Wednesday meetings, students have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities throughout the year, including:

• Student Music Team

• Summer youth camp

• Local outings and events

• Game nights and group activities

These experiences help students build lasting friendships while growing together in faith.

BMA Missions

LakeRidge Baptist Church is an autonomous, independent Baptist congregation that partners with other like-minded churches to support mission work across North America and around the world.

Through our cooperative efforts with the Baptist Missionary Association of America (BMA), we help financially support missionaries and ministries who are faithfully sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in communities near and far.

Good News Club (GNC)

Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) that partners with LakeRidge Baptist Church to reach children in our local community.

With parental permission, trained teachers meet weekly with children after school at Miller Elementary in Lubbock. Each gathering includes:

• A Bible lesson

• Songs and Scripture memory

• A missions story

• Interactive activities centered on the lesson’s theme

This ministry allows us to share the love of Jesus with children in a fun, engaging, and meaningful way.
